Black Dog Gelato Re-Opens For The 2021 Season
On May 1st, we re-opened our Ukrainian Village and Logan Square Shops for the 2021 season! Our West Loop Shop will re-open on Saturday, May 15th!
Our 2021 re-opening kicked off with a whole new In-Shop Menu, featuring specially-curated gelato desserts, giving our customers more ways to enjoy their favorite gelato! Each month, we will feature 12 gelato flavors in our case made fresh daily, available to enjoy in a cup, cone, or house-made waffle cone!
Our May Gelato Flavors include our Signature Flavors – 6 best-selling and beloved flavors that will be available all season; Featured Flavors – 3 rotating flavors of Jessie’s special creations, including seasonal flavors, fan favorites, special limited edition collaborations; and Dairy-Free Flavors – 3 rotating flavors so rich that you won’t even know they are made without dairy or eggs!

Bourbon Butterscotch Toffee Cookie | the winning flavor from our March Cookie Madness Contest created by Troop 25170 – butterscotch bourbon gelato with gluten-free toffee cookies and a salted caramel swirl!
Sesame Cookie Dough | a special flavor created as part of our participation in #doughsomething to support AAAJ – a sesame oil-scented gelato with edible chocolate chip cookie dough!
Tahini Carrot Cake | The embodiment of a classic carrot cake flavor in gelato form with a nutty twist!

Our Dairy-Free Flavors include Summer Botanical Flavors, inspired by fresh herbs and floral notes as part of a collaboration with Get Growing Foundation.
Strawberry Basil | Sweet strawberry sorbet infused with fragrant, fresh basil!
Cantaloupe Elderflower Sorbet | Sweet, ripe cantaloupe with a slight floral note!
Hope and Sesame Hazelnut Sorbet | Hope and sesame milk alternative gives this classic Italian “Nutella” flavor a dairy-free twist!
PARTNERSHIP WITH GET GROWING
Get Growing Foundation’s mobile plant boutique, Plant Truck Chicago, will be at our Ukrainian Village Location on Saturday, May 8th from 12-3PM & at our West Loop location on Saturday, May 15th from 12-4PM raising funds for the foundation through the sale of plants. The truck-based pop-up will feature plants for sale with the proceeds supporting their community education programs, school programs, underserved communities initiatives, and more.
